Islamic Socialism: The Revolutionary movement of the Ummah

Islamic Socialism, the revolutionary movement of the ummah (Muslim community).

The Muslim world has been suffering from the effects of colonialism, capitalism, imperialism and its lackies they propped up.

The only way to counter these forces is with a movement that won’t capitulate to them. This movement being Islamic Socialism, a force that, through Islam and socialist policies, can root out the forces that seek to divide the Muslims and make use of our land, resources, and labor force for the enrichment of western entities.

We must organize in all spheres and oppose the forces of destruction that enslaved us to their mentality and their enrichment. We must decolonize the land, our minds, our practice, and govern the lands how we, not others, wish.

The progressive and revolutionary of Islam derives from a belief system of tauhid. While tauhid is the unity among God, man and the universe. Islamic thought and ideology became the fourth bridge or road from the ideological stalemate of the pre-revolutionary opposition movement, which is between secularist-nationalist, Marxist-Communist and Islamic Fundamentalism.

Capitalism and Islam hold contrary values to one another

Capitalism, as an ideological perspective and economic model, focuses on the individual, individual desires at the cost of others, and selfish hoarding of wealthy along with other relations to it.

Islam and Islamic values are collective centered. With heavy focus on caring for and fairness of the whole of society. The individual is, through Islam, taught to temper (moderate) themselves, and soften the heart through good actions and piety.

Capitalism in the Muslim lands has led to the chaos we see today

1) European colonization, dividing the Muslim lands.

2) Europeans putting into power these outcasted groups that would be subservient to the west.

3) Europeans teaching Muslims their values and Nationalist beliefs.

4) European corporations influencing and taking charge in our economies.

5) CIA working with the Saudi’s (put into power with the help of Britain) to destroy the Islamic Socialist movement, which could challenge capitalist influence in the Muslim lands.

6) US imperialism against nations & movements that rival western interests and become independent from western “aid.”

7) US aid to Israel, a terrorist state propped up after Britain illegally sold the land to Zionists.

8) Sectarianism, a divisive belief agitated by capitalist forces to divide Muslims.

We are Islamic Socialists because we are, as the name is organized, Muslims first and socialists second

Our main beliefs are that Allah is one and that Muhammad is his messenger. Second to that is opposition to capitalism, which has burdened man with oppression through the most wicked and haram (forbidden) means. To oppose capitalism is no less than to fight in the cause of Allah.

Ending the unequal wealth balance

There is no equal status that can be maintained between an economic oppressor and an economic oppressed, the only answer is an Islamic Socialist society following sharia. A state for the Muslims that follows in accordance to sharia and opposes a financial minority growing off the backs of the majority.

A new Islamic Socialist state must run on Sharia, and regulate the wealth balance by expropriating the wealthy oppressors, mandatory Zakat (charity) and socialist policies that limit wealth hoarding and
privatization of property.

The Duty by Allah to fight Capitalism

As Vijay Prashad put it when explaining why the Islamic Socialists of 1917 Russia became Islamic Socialists:

“The promise of equality and humanity was not going to be established merely spiritually.” This is a fact. We must ask for Allah to bless us and help us end oppression; but as his servants who have been given the earth to care for, this also means we must actively take the necessary steps to fight oppression as well.

The Muslims must decolonize their land

The only freedom of the Muslim territories is to fight ruthless anti-capitalist, anti-colonialist, anti- imperialist wars against the invaders and their governments in the middle east. The Muslims must put in place a Union of Islamic Socialist Republics, so all territories are secure across the Muslim world against the violent capitalist forces. This also means non-Muslims will be protected and granted equality. This can supply plenty of soldiers and resources that can secure the territory against the capitalist invading force.

The characteristics of a Islamic Socialist Revolutionary

Purge arrogance, pride, and ego from your hearts, you represent Islam and your character is what will make the people look at your beliefs with specific judgments. This goes for your political beliefs, so don’t let yourself fall into the trap of judging or attacking those who don’t have understanding or knowledge. Act humble, and represent your political and religious beliefs in a disciplined and proper way.
